Our Philosophy
Embedded deep into the soft organic soils of Southern Ontario, a beautiful sugar maple stretched majestically above the green valley, watching the changes each season brought.
One day, a small chipmunk sniffed around the tree’s base, asking, “Sugar maple, how long have you been here?”
“I’ve been here for over 100 years,” was the reply. “It takes that long to grow as big and strong as I am.”
“Every year,” said the chipmunk. “My family and I make a home under a flowery vine in the next valley. It grows much faster than you do.”
“But every year,” said the tree. “The vine dies. It may grow quickly, but it doesn’t endure.”
The chipmunk nodded, and gathered his family under the tree. He understood that slow growth meant strength, endurance, and integrity that would protect his family for years to come.
